Ork kommando for Necromunda

Another addition to my Necromunda Ork gang, this is one of the metal Kommando models which if I am not mistaken are still in production. I 've always liked Kommandos since the WH40K 2nd edition, not only for their background (which is quite cool) but also because the models are very well sculpted. Many nice features on this one, my favourite being the night vision goggles and the full face mask.

I didn't go for the traditional urban camo paint scheme on this guy, I rather went for a more WW2 British commando paintjob with lots of brown and tan shades. For the base I used my typical underhive/urban battlefield idea of mesh and painted plates with some decal insignia - you can see the white markings on the blue girder under his legs.

Heavily armed with grenades, extra ammo, spare choppa and lots of climbing rope, he should fit right in the industrial Necromunda terrain, sneaking through tunnels and vents like a proper kommando.  I was tempted to buy another few of those and make a full guerilla style gang, but since the troop needs some long range firepower, next to come will be a couple of Boyz with shootas - Blood Axe urban camo this time.
